Laura Moriarty is an Oncology Nurse Practitioner Candidate at NextGen Oncology and is completing her Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) through Edith Cowan University. She trained and worked as a Registered Nurse in Ireland before expanding her oncology experience internationally and later relocating to Western Australia in 2018.

With more than a decade of specialised oncology experience, Laura’s practice spans systemic therapy delivery, acute toxicity assessment, complex symptom management and supportive care. She has worked across metropolitan, regional and rural cancer services, contributing to care models that support safe and timely treatment delivery in geographically dispersed communities.

Laura is committed to providing compassionate and person-centred care for people undergoing cancer treatment, with a strong focus on patient experience, communication and continuity across the cancer journey. Her approach emphasises partnership with patients and their families, recognising the emotional, physical and practical challenges of a cancer diagnosis. She is passionate about early symptom recognition, supportive interventions and navigating treatment pathways in a way that promotes understanding, confidence and shared decision-making.

Laura maintains a strong interest in clinical research, service development and the advancement of oncology practice. She is committed to ensuring patients receive consistent, high-quality care throughout their cancer journey, including those navigating treatment from rural and regional communities.

She is dedicated to advancing patient-centred oncology care and contributing to the development and integration of advanced practice nursing within modern cancer services.
